Terms of Service

Welcome to Pday. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pday mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using Pday, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Pday is a mobile application that transforms missionary emails into visual updates -- including posters, summaries, maps, and timelines -- for family, friends, and community members. The Service processes emails forwarded or CC'd to @mail.pday.app addresses and uses artificial intelligence to generate content from them.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Pday. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Keep your login credentials secure and notify us promptly at support@pday.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Your Content

You own your content. Emails, photos, audio files, and other materials you submit to Pday ("User Content") remain yours. By submitting User Content, you grant Pday a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. This includes AI processing to generate posters, summaries, and other derived content.

You represent that you have the right to share any content you submit and that it does not violate any third party's rights.

5. Missionary Email Content

When you forward or CC missionary emails to Pday, you represent that you have permission to share that content. Family administrators are responsible for managing who can view missionary content within the app.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Submit content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or any related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service to send spam, unsolicited messages, or bulk communications
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without our written permission
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

7. Subscriptions and Purchases

Pday offers a free tier (with advertisements) and premium features available through in-app purchases and subscriptions via the Apple App Store. All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Refund requests for App Store purchases should be directed to Apple.

We reserve the right to change pricing or features at any time. If you have an active subscription, changes will take effect at your next renewal period.

8. Advertisements

Free-tier users will see advertisements within the app. Ad content is provided by third-party ad networks and is not endorsed by Pday. You can remove ads by upgrading to a premium subscription.

9. Intellectual Property

The Pday name, logo, app design, and all related trademarks, service marks, and content (excluding User Content) are the property of Pday. You may not use our branding without written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. AI-generated content (posters, summaries, scores, etc.) is created automatically and may contain inaccuracies. You should not rely on AI-generated content as a sole source of information.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pday shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Pday harmless from any claims, losses, or damages (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using Pday and delete your account at any time through the app's settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability) will survive.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of Pday after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in Utah.
